Biography
Connie Inge-Lise Nielsen was born on July 3rd, 1965 in Frederikshavn, Denmark and was raised in the village of Elling and in Copenhagen. In her family, she had her bus driver father Bent Nielsen, her insurance clerk mother Laila Matzigkeit, two brothers Bent Nielsen Jr. and Ulrich Nielsen, and a sister S s Nielsen.
Personal Life
Nielsen is currently without a partner, even though she was reportedly in a relationship with Dane Lars Ulrich, a Metallica drummer, from 2004 until 2012 and had a son named Bryce Thadeus Ulrich-Nielsen with him. Sebastian Sartor is the child she has had more experience with since her previous relationship with Fabio Sartor.
Career
In 1984, her debut film was released and it was a French comedy called ‘Paroù t’es rentré?’ We have not observed your departure. How did you gain entry? She co-starred with Jerry Lewis, who is known for his comedy, in the movie We Didn’t See You Leave. In 1988, she appeared in numerous comedy movies like Colletti Bianchi (an Italian mini-series), Vacanze di Natale ’91 (an Italian film), and Le Paradis Absolument (a French film).
In 1993, she made her acting debut in English language in the made-for-TV thriller Voyage when she relocated to the US. She played Lena in Okavango: The Wild Frontier, a family drama series, a year after that.
Connie has worked steadily since then, with roles in films such as Mission to Mars (2000) with Gary Sinise, the blockbuster Gladiator (2000) with Russell Crowe, One Hour Photo (2002) with Robin Williams and The Hunted (2003), starring Benicio Del Toro. She was awarded the Silver Seashell at San Sebastian International Film Festival and the Best Actress award at Bodil Awards for her performance in Brothers (2005).
Queen Hippolyta was played by her in Wonder Woman (2017), Justice League (2017), and Wonder Woman 1984 (2020). Along with Bob Odenkirk, she played Becca in the action film Nobody (1920). Her role of Corinna was played by her on the small screen in all six episodes of the TNT mini-series I Am the Night (2019), which featured Chris Pine.
