Joshua Michael “Josh” Peck (born November 10, 1986) is an American actor, comedian, director, and voice actor best known for playing Josh Nichols in the Nickelodeon live-action sitcom Drake & Josh. In the late 1990s and early 2000s, he began his career as a child actor, and became well-known to young audiences by portraying The Amanda Show. Mean Creek, Drillbit Taylor, The Wackness, and Red Dawn all feature him as an actor.
His most well-known role was that of Josh Nichols in the highly successful Nickelodeon sitcom ‘Drake & Josh’ (2004 to 2007). He reprised the role in three television films, has appeared in many movies, television films, and series, and lent his voice to animated features such as the “Ice Age” film franchise.

Biography
November 10, 1986 marked the date of Joshua Michael Peck’s birth in New York City. His childhood was spent in Hell’s Kitchen and his mother Barbara, a career coach, and his maternal grandmother were responsible for his upbringing. Both of Peck’s parents are Jewish. Peck spent a lot of his time indoors watching sitcoms as a child because of his asthma struggles.
At the age of 8, he became interested in stand-up comedy and appeared on the ‘Rosie O’Donnell Show’ at the age of 10. He attended P.S. 40 and The Professional Performing Arts School. On December 29th, 2018, they were blessed with the birth of their first child, Max Milo Peck, and their second child, Shai Miller Peck, was born on October 13th, 2022.
Career
A bout with asthma sidelined Peck in early childhood, and he drew solace and inspiration from cartoons and classic TV sitcoms, counting among his influences Jackie Gleason, Bill Cosby and Richard Pryor. Bit by the comedy bug, Peck was encouraged by his mother to explore his talents, and he performed with a children’s musical theater group in New York before making his stand-up comedy debut at age eight at Caroline’s Comedy Club. Peck began his feature film career in 2000, appearing alongside Kate Bosworth in the independent movie ‘The Newcomers’, which was then followed by the family comedy ‘Snow Day’.
In Drake & Josh, Josh Nichols played Drake Bell’s character from 2004 to 2007 and in its two television films in 2006 and 2008.
