On March 20th, 1996, Charley Esmee Hull was born in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England. Basienka and Dave Hull were her parents, and Lisa and Nicol Hull were her half-brothers.

Her father introduced her to golf when she was only two years old by teaching her how to swing a club at Kettering Golf Club. She switched to homeschooling at 13 to concentrate on the sport and compete in amateur tournaments.
