Ja Morant was born on August 10, 1999 in Dalzell, South Carolina, United States and is now a 25-year-old. Tee and Jamie, his parents, and Teniya, were his parents when he was growing up.

The love for basketball was nurtured from a young age by Ja’s father, Tee, who was a high school teammate of NBA legend Ray Allen. Ja went to Crestwood High School in Sumter, South Carolina, where he participated in basketball and quickly established himself as a proficient point guard. His team won a state championship in 2017 and he was named Mr. Basketball in South Carolina that same year.
