Biography

Josh Brolin was born in Santa Monica, California on February 12, 1968, the son of parents James Brolin and Jane Cameron Agee. Three siblings were raised alongside him: Jason Gould, Jess Brolin, and Molly Elizabeth Brolin. Brolin started his acting career in 1985, having attended Santa Barbara High School.

Personal Life

He had a marriage with actress Alice Adair in 1988, but it ended in 1992. In 1988, Trevor Mansur became their son. Even though the couple had been divorced, they maintained their relationship and their daughter Eden was born in 1994.

He wed actress Diane Lane on August 15, 2004. Diane Lane did not file charges and the couple’s spokesperson dismissed the incident as a misunderstanding. The charges were later dismissed by Brolin. After filing a divorce petition in February 2013, the couple ended up divorcing by the end of the year.

He subsequently wed actress Diane Lane, but their union did not result in the birth of any children. Brolin got married to Kathryn Boyd, his former assistant and model, in 2016, who is now his wife and has two daughters.

Career

He appeared in ‘The Goonies’ for the first time in 1985, along with Corey Feldman, Martha Plimpton, and Sean Astin. When it premiered at the box office, The Goonies made more than US$60 million and received many positive reviews. Playing his second role in the action movie ‘Thrashin’ in 1986 made Josh even more enthusiastic. Josh contemplated quitting his career as an actor after failing to do well in the film ‘Thrasin’.

Josh Brolin started his career in 1987, and since then has appeared in numerous television series and shows. The drama series ‘Private Eye’, which was his debut, did not garner many reviews due to poor performances. While still playing smaller roles in movies like Grindhouse (2007), Josh Brolin’s acting career began to take off in 2007. In the film ‘In The Valley of Elah’ (2007), he played alongside Tommy Lee Jones. In 2007, Josh Brolin became famous for his role in the movie ‘American Gangster’.

His comeback started off with strong performances in films such as ‘No Country for Old Men’ (2007), which resulted in critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination.
