In 2008, when he joined Genk, he was chosen for their first team squad. In May of 2009, he made his first appearance. He won a match against Club Brugge in 2011 and scored his first hat-trick. He managed to score 8 goals for them in 28 matches. Kevin signed a contract with Chelsea, an English club, in 2012. He was temporarily transferred to Werder Bermen, a German team, in Germany.
