Biography
It’s obvious that he was not born under the name GJ, which is a stage name that refers to a young gangster. Keenon Daequan Ray Jackson is the actual name of him. He was born on March 9, 1990 and is a resident of Compton, California.
He was raised by his grandparents during his childhood. Due to his imprisonment for most of his childhood due to the law, his father was never available. Shonee Jackson, his mother, had previous experience operating a child care business at Paramount.
She left the company and began working at a grocery store due to the lack of income from child care. She was employed by McDonald’s, a well-known fast food company. YG’s family experienced a complication when they lost their home and were compelled to fight to survive.

Career
In 2010, YG, an American rapper from Long Beach, California, became well-known when he released his first single, ‘Toot It and Boot It’ (featuring Ty Dolla Sign). He was signed by Def Jam Recordings after the single peaked at number 67 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In June 2013 Young Jeezy’s imprint CTE World arranged for YG to sign an additional deal. His 2013 single, ‘My Nigga’, which featured Jeezy and Rich Homie Quan, reached number 19 on the US Billboard Hot 100.
The release of his debut studio album in 2014 was preceded by the release of his singles ‘Left, Right’ (featuring DJ Mustard) and ‘Who Do You Love?’
Pu$haz Ink, CTE World, and Def Jam released My Krazy Life album on March 18th of that year, and it was successful in both commercial and critical areas. In 2014, he collaborated with American singer Jeremih on his most successful song to date, ‘Don’t Tell ‘Em’, which reached number 6 on the Hot 100.
