Biography

Despite her birthdate being September 1st, 1996 in Oakland, Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman hails from Arkansas. She has an African-American father named Kazembe Ajamu Coleman and a German and English mother named Claire Stoermer. Zendaya has five half-siblings who are very close to her: Katianna, Annabella, Kaylee, Austin, and Julien.

While studying at the Oakland School for the Arts, she was able to land a number of roles in local theatrical productions. In addition, she honed her skills at the American Conservatory Theater and the Cal Arts Conservatory.
