During his junior college years at Reedley College, Allen began his college football career. In Allen’s only season at Reedley, he led an offense averaging 452.2 yards of total offense per game and ranked No. 9 among all junior college teams in California (in total offense). Reedley had an average of 283 passing yards per game and scored 39.4 points per game. His 26 touchdown passes allowed him to tie for No. 7 among all California junior college quarterbacks in 2014.
When he was a freshman, Allen was ranked 20th out of all California Junior College quarterbacks in passing yards. Allen was awarded a scholarship to join the University of Wyoming before the 2015 season. However, having only played 2 games for the Wyoming Cowboys.
