Wentworth Earl Miller III was born on June 2, 1972, in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, England, to Wentworth Earl Miller II, a lawyer and teacher, and his wife Joy Marie, a special education teacher. He has a sister named Leigh and a sister named Gillian.

Midwood High School in Brooklyn provided him with his early education, and he was a part of ‘SING!,’ an annual musical production that Midwood started. Quaker Valley High School in Pennsylvania was where he graduated in 1990. He received a bachelor’s degree in English literature from the well-respected Princeton University in 1995. He was a member of the collegiate a cappella group ‘Princeton Tigertones’ while in college.
